Providing Solutions…
The Oaks at Blue Jay Drive, Texas City
Hurricane Ike devastated coastal areas of Texas and its effects were far-reaching. To continue helping the community recover from this natural disaster DSW worked with local governments to rebuild a subsidized housing neighborhood in Texas City, Texas. The homes demolished were built in the 1950s and following Hurricane Ike were in need of extensive repair. DSW demoed the original buildings and replaced them with newly constructed homes to help promote HUD’s goal of providing housing for families.
