The Texas City Blue Jay Initiative reflects DSW Homes’ ability to deliver thoughtfully planned affordable housing developments with both residential construction and supporting infrastructure improvements.

Beginning in June 2016 and completed in March 2017, the project included the construction of 26 modern, three-bedroom single-family detached homes designed to provide quality housing for the Texas City community. In addition to vertical construction, DSW performed key development activities, including upgrades to water and sewer lines, streets, and detention infrastructure to support long-term community functionality.

With a total project value of approximately $3.8 million, DSW completed all construction activities in accordance with contract guidelines and schedule requirements. The successful delivery of the Texas City Blue Jay Initiative demonstrates DSW’s commitment to efficient project execution, quality construction, and sustainable affordable housing development.
