Texas General Land Office (GLO)

Following Hurricane Harvey, DSW Homes served as a prime residential contractor for the Texas General Land Office’s Homeowner Assistance Program, supporting long-term recovery efforts funded through HUD Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery resources.

Across multiple Texas counties, DSW Homes completed 1,258 rehabilitation and reconstruction projects totaling approximately $294 million. Through this work, DSW helped restore safe, compliant, and resilient housing for homeowners impacted by one of the most devastating storms in Texas history.

DSW also contributed to the Resilient Home Program, constructing enhanced steel-frame homes designed to provide greater durability, improved wind resistance, and long-term protection for families rebuilding after disaster.

This project reflects DSW’s ability to deliver large-scale disaster recovery housing programs with strong construction oversight, schedule efficiency, regulatory compliance, and a commitment to quality at every phase of the process.
