North Carolina Office of Recovery & Resiliency (NCORR)
Following the impacts of Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and Hurricane Florence in 2018, DSW Homes served as a prime residential contractor for the North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency under the ReBuild NC Program, funded through HUD Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery resources.
Since September 2022, DSW Homes has delivered disaster recovery housing services across central and eastern North Carolina, supporting eligible homeowners through rehabilitation, reconstruction, modular housing, and manufactured housing unit replacement. To date, DSW has completed 351 housing units under the program, representing approximately $64.35 million in recovery construction services.
DSW rapidly mobilized resources across 50 impacted counties, establishing four operational offices within 72 hours of contract award. In addition to construction services, DSW supported homeowners through temporary relocation and storage coordination across all construction types, helping reduce disruption while families awaited safe, resilient housing.
This project reflects DSW’s ability to mobilize quickly, manage complex disaster recovery housing operations, and deliver high-quality construction services at scale while supporting NCORR’s mission to restore stability for disaster-impacted communities.
